Goal: 18 blankets
Current progress: 7 blankets completed (I usually have at least 2-3 blanket in progress …. )
This task was originally going to be 12 blankets, but since we decided early January to invest in a Netflix subscription and a big screen as a “combined birthday” gift to ourselves, I increased the goal to 18. I always have knitting in my hands when I’m watching something.
Corner-to-corner blankets
These blankets start with 1 stitch, and increase by 1 stitch at the start of every row. When I’ve used just under half of the yarn available, then I decrease by 1 stitch at the beginning of each row until 1 stitch is left. Very simple pattern in garter stitch, and fun to knit.
Crochet blankets
I crochet afghan squares using leftovers after knitted blankets and beanies. Then I crochet black around each square before joining them up and then crocheting three rows of black around the entire blanket.
